he high key likes the attention coming from this so he’s playing into it lol

he's both rightfully upset at how the org treated him and also enjoying the spotlight he's gotten from the whole event, it's a pretty normal reaction to it all imo

I remember the reports about how they thought Derrick white was better than brown

White was literally the least efficient non rookie in the league last year, that report was so disresepctful.

Least efficient at what?

It didn't come from the Celtics, but if White sucked so much, then it's weird that he led the eastern conference in plus/minus and had a +9.4 on/off (to Jaylen's -5.5).
No, I don't think White is better than Jaylen - and they both sucked in the playoffs - but your stats don't tell the whole story at all

I forgot we like to spread misinformation here but that wasn’t the report. Windhorst said something about White having a more impactful season not that BS you’re peddling.

You’re making this up.

That's absolutely not true lmao. Why would our FO publicly report that if we were trying to trade him? It would just bring down his value, not to mention ruin the relationship and team chemistry. Please think critically.

Can you link some? I don’t remember that at all.

This isn't normal. It's actually kinda obnoxious. JT keeps taking the high road, while JB is intent on keeping this "controversy" going. Nothing surprising though based on their respective dispositions.

I think JT’s version of the high road is just PR trained responses - as always - and JB is sick of it lol. He’s also pissed the org he won a chip for and got finals MVP for - traded his ass for Paul George.

(a) If JB wants to be mad about being traded, be mad at the Celtics organization and Brad Stevens. Not Tatum.
(b) Have people collectively forgotten that JB made a number of weird digs at JT over the course of last season? Why should JB be "sick" of JT taking the high road publicly, when he himself was the only one taking shots when they were teammates?
17. u/NecessaryAdorable537 · 2026-10-25 08:47 UTC
(C) it’s not even the high road, Brad Steven’s made a trade, it has nothing to do with Tatum and tatum has no reason to be mad.
Tatum is a good guy, JB is a conspiracy theorist who thinks he’s being brave by being abrasive all the time.
This is a nonsense issue cooked ur favorite pseudo-intellectual chess.com bot

His response yesterday was not PR speak and I legitimately think he hates this stuff because he acts like an adult and not a teenager

Don't bother lol.
Dude you're responding to is all over this thread writing fan fiction about this situation

Easier to take the high road when your team gives you the keys and trades the one guye competing for it for peanuts and a podcaster.
