Fuck, he can’t catch a break. Shai looked absolutely distraught, he was covering his face for a few minutes

Yeah, SGA teared up. He probably feels bad for JDub, especially since JDub has been pretty open about how much his mental health suffered last year because of the injuries

And he got a Psycho Sid-esque injury which is the worst he could get. Really fell for him and the team because that’s as horrific as it gets. I hope he has a good support system around him.

And again in the interview. Never seen him remotely like that before, but having seen the photo of the injury I don’t blame him. One of your best friends and teammates suffering that type of injury.

best case is a PG situation and its a clean break and a relatively quick recovery for how severe it looked.

I mean I just don’t see a timeline where he’s 100% before the seasons out and with the contract situation we are in it could mean the end of our window for a bit. I’d love to be wrong and this all be reactionary, but that landing is grim.

Manifesting the fastest recovery for JDub

It really takes out one of your strongest weapons but your team was scary without him last year. I feel awful for him cause after everything he gave to win that ring it just hasn’t gone right for him

Yeah even with the cleanest break possible if he’s back in 6-7 months (time for the playoffs) it would be a genuine medical miracle, and he still wouldn’t be in anything resembling game shape.
I wouldn’t be doomering too hard about the team’s window yet but there’s basically zero chance he’s contributing anything this season. The optimistic view is that he comes back next season still really good like PG, and not that it ends his time as a top-tier player like Hayward.

Just had his post game interview and he was in tears.
Goodness me, man.

Fuck, man. Obviously terrible for Jdub. But also Shai had to both see and hear that happening right in front of him. Just awful.

You could have worded this better...Cheers

It probably hurt so bad for both of them
the pain of the injury and just seeing that happen to his guy

This is terrible. Fuck. I hope it was a clean break at least.

I don't like the twisting motion happening on this too but hoping for the best

It was so awful it had my heart racing like a panic attack. I'm so devastated for everyone on the team, they were legit in tears on the court.

when his leg springs up in a ^ shape after the impact it is twisted like a damn mobius strip. That is not a clean break
